Craighead County Jail Roster Overview
The official adult inmate records path starts at the sheriff's roster wrapper, which embeds the Craighead County RPS jail roster. The RPS page title identifies it as the Craighead County Sheriff's Office jail roster. On May 28, 2026, the current-inmate tab displayed 365 total current inmates, with 10 shown on the visible page. That count is a point-in-time roster count and not an annual admissions report.
The roster is free and public, and it is built around browsing and sorting rather than a normal last-name search box. The main tabs are Current Inmates, New Inmates, and Recent Releases. Sort controls include Arrested Date and Name. The Select Name list can be used when the exact name is known, and the page-size options of 10, 20, and 30 help users scan more than the first page. If the arrest is very new, the booking department can be more useful than refreshing the page.
Search Craighead County Inmate Records
Adult jail inmate records should be checked against custody type. A person arrested by Jonesboro Police Department, Craighead County Sheriff's Department, Arkansas State University Police, Lake City Police, Bay Police, or another local agency may still be booked into the county detention center. Once the person is booked, the county jail record is usually a sheriff custody record, not a city-police roster record.
- Open the sheriff roster wrapper or the direct RPS roster for Craighead County.
- Choose Current Inmates for active custody, New Inmates for recent bookings, or Recent Releases for a quick release check.
- Use Select Name or sort by Name when the spelling is known. Sort by Arrested Date when the booking date is the best clue.
- Review the entry for photo, race, sex, age, arrest time, arresting agency, charges, and bond.
- If no result appears, call the jail, then check DOC, BOP, ICE ODLS, or VINELink based on the custody facts.
The RPS roster screenshot captured for the project shows the same current-inmate list, tabs, total count, mugshot thumbnails, charge text, and bond fields described in the research.

Use the roster as a live custody lead, then verify legal status with the jail or court when release, bond, or a case deadline depends on the answer.
Craighead County Roster Controls
The Craighead County jail roster control set is specific. The research did not find a conventional text field for last name or booking number in the captured view. Instead, the RPS roster exposes tabs, sort choices, a Select Name list, and page-size controls. That means common names require careful comparison to age, arrest date, arresting agency, and charge text.
| Control | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current Inmates | Tab or link | No | Default active-custody view observed in the roster. |
| New Inmates | Tab or link | No | Used for people booked recently. |
| Recent Releases | Tab or link | No | Useful after release, but retention period was not published. |
| Sort By | Control | No | Arrested Date and Name were observed. |
| Select Name | Dropdown/list | No | Lists roster names for selection. |
| Select Page Size | Control | No | Options observed: 10, 20, and 30. |
Craighead County Inmate Profile Fields
A Craighead County inmate record on the public list is short but practical. It confirms identity clues, booking timing, the agency tied to the arrest, charge text, and any bond amount that has been entered. It does not show every law-enforcement or jail-management field. Booking number, full date of birth, cell location, exact housing pod, court date, and detailed personal identifiers were not visible in the text-captured public list.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Mugshot | Thumbnail booking photo displayed beside many entries. |
| Name | Roster name in last, first, middle or similar format. |
| Race/Sex/Age | Compact identity information, such as B / F / 21 years. |
| Address | Often city/state or blank, not always a full street address. |
| Arrested | Date and time in month/day/year plus time format. |
| Arrested By | Agency name, such as Jonesboro Police Department or Craighead County Sheriff's Department. |
| Charges | Booking charge descriptions, often without statute numbers. |
| Bond | Dollar amount when set and displayed; omitted on some entries. |
Craighead County Records Not Online
The public roster does not guarantee that every jail record, mugshot copy, release document, incident report, or older booking can be viewed online. For record copies, the county's FOI request page has a Sheriff's Office FOI Request tab. Use that tab for jail, booking, detention, arrest, mugshot, and sheriff incident-report requests. The visible form accepts requester name, email, phone, requested information, and preferred delivery method.
Requesters can choose Electronic via Email, Inspect On-site, Copies on CD, Fax Copies, Pick-up Copies, or Regular Mail. The inspected form did not publish a local fee schedule, turnaround time, or ID upload requirement. Because Arkansas FOIA rights are commonly framed around Arkansas citizens and the form asks about citizenship, avoid assuming every requester gets the same response. A clear request should include the full name, approximate arrest date, arresting agency if known, and whether the requested item is a booking record, mugshot, incident report, or jail record.

Craighead County Booking Records
Booking begins after an arresting agency brings a person to the Craighead County Detention Center. The RPS roster examples show arrests by Jonesboro Police Department and the Craighead County Sheriff's Department, and the same pattern can apply to other county police agencies. During intake, the jail creates a custody record, records the arrest time, adds charge descriptions, takes a booking photo when available, and classifies the person for housing. The sheriff says the jail separates felony-status male, misdemeanor-status male, special-needs male, female felony, and female misdemeanor inmates.
Roster charges are not the final court record. Booking charges may later be amended, reduced, dismissed, replaced, or declined after prosecutor review. Bond may be missing from a roster entry because no bond has been set, the person is held without bond, a hold from another agency controls release, or the value was not displayed in the public list. For formal charges after booking, use court records after a jail arrest and Arkansas Case Search.
Craighead County Visitation and Mail
The sheriff's jail page says the adult detention center no longer has in-person visitation. Online visitation is through JailATM, and visitors register and schedule online. Messaging is also handled through JailATM. Adult resident mail uses a vendor-style mailing address that begins with JailATM.com and includes the resident name. The sheriff says no packages may be sent, only letters, and the return address must include the sender's full name.
| Service | Schedule or Channel | Cost or Rule |
|---|---|---|
| In-person visitation | Not available | Sheriff says there is no in-person visitation. |
| Video visitation | JailATM scheduling | $0.35 per minute; $10.50 for a full 30-minute call. |
| Messaging | JailATM | $0.50 per message. |
| Resident mail | JailATM.com - Craighead County Detention Center, Resident Name, PO Box 16367, Jonesboro, AR 72401 | Letters only; no packages; full return name and address required. |
| Legal mail | Daily except Sunday | Published locally, but detailed procedure was not found. |
Craighead County Commissary Funds
Money, phone, messaging, and bond channels are easy to confuse. Tiger Correctional Services handles meal service and commissary, including inmate trust deposits and online commissary orders. Inmates may order hygiene and snack items Monday and Thursday, with delivery Tuesday and Friday. Correct Solutions and RegentPay are linked for phone-related account support, while JailATM is used for video visits and messaging. Bond is separate from all of those channels.
The Tiger Commissary Craighead page screenshot in the research is the matching source for web deposits and commissary orders.

Confirm custody before sending funds. Wrong person, wrong facility, or wrong service type can delay or misroute money.
Note: A commissary or phone deposit does not post bond, pay fines, or guarantee release from Craighead County custody.
Craighead County DOC Federal ICE
Sentenced Arkansas inmates are searched through the Arkansas DOC locator. The locator accepts ADC number, county, last name, first name, facility, gender, offense category, age, and race, and it includes a disclaimer agreement. Federal sentenced inmates are searched through the BOP inmate locator. Immigration detention is searched through ICE ODLS. Arkansas VINE/VINELink is for custody and release notification, not certified records.
| Person Searched | Correct System | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Current adult jail inmate | Craighead RPS roster | Local custody, charges, bond, mugshot, recent release. |
| Sentenced Arkansas prisoner | Arkansas DOC locator | State custody, ADC number, facility, county waiting-list labels. |
| Federal sentenced inmate | BOP locator | Federal custody from 1982 to present, generally no public mugshots. |
