Craighead County Jail Mugshots Overview
The adult Craighead County RPS roster displays mugshot thumbnails beside many public jail entries. The sheriff's roster wrapper embeds the RPS page, and the direct roster showed Current Inmates, New Inmates, and Recent Releases when inspected. Those tabs make the roster the main official place to look for a recent adult booking photo. The research did not find a separate official daily mugshot PDF, stand-alone booking-photo gallery, or permanent county mugshot archive.
Booking photos should be treated as custody records, not proof of guilt. The roster may show a mugshot beside a booking charge before any prosecutor files a formal court charge. A court case can later be dismissed, amended, reduced, or sealed. For the filed case status, use Craighead County court records after a jail arrest rather than relying on a roster photo.
Where Craighead County Photos Appear
Adult booking photos appear on the Craighead County RPS roster and through the sheriff's official roster wrapper. The Recent Releases tab means a released person's photo may remain briefly visible, but the exact retention period was not published in the visible roster. The sheriff's Most Wanted page can also publish photos after a disclaimer acceptance path, yet that is a wanted-person channel, not a full jail mugshot search.
- Open the direct RPS roster or the sheriff roster wrapper.
- Choose Current Inmates for active custody or New Inmates for a recent booking.
- Use Recent Releases quickly if the person has already left custody.
- Compare the photo with name, age, arrest date, arresting agency, charges, and bond.
- If the photo is not online, use the Sheriff's Office FOI Request tab on the county FOI page.
The RPS roster screenshot captured for Craighead County shows the same adult booking-photo thumbnails that make the roster the primary mugshot source.

The screenshot should be used as a roster example, not as a guarantee that every person has a visible photo or that a photo remains after release.
Craighead County Mugshot Record Fields
A booking photo appears with a short set of jail fields. These fields help confirm identity, but they also show the limits of the public list. Full street address, full date of birth, booking number, housing pod, exact cell, and court date were not visible in the text-captured roster. The photo is one part of the record, not the whole booking file.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Booking photo | Thumbnail image beside the roster entry when available. |
| Name | Displayed roster name, often with middle name or suffix. |
| Race/Sex/Age | Compact identity fields, not a full demographic profile. |
| Address | City/state, blank field, or partial locality in many entries. |
| Arrested | Date and time tied to the booking or arrest display. |
| Arrested By | Agency tied to the arrest, such as Jonesboro Police Department. |
| Charges and bond | Booking charge descriptions and bond amount when displayed. |
Are Craighead County Mugshots Public
Arkansas research did not locate a simple official county-specific mugshot statute or a single state law that says booking photos are always public. The reliable access frame is the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act, especially public-record inspection and copying under Ark. Code Ann. 25-19-105, subject to exemptions. Booking photos and adult jail booking records held by the sheriff are normally requested as law-enforcement public records unless a legal exemption applies.
Public-record frame: Ark. Code Ann. 25-19-105 covers public-record inspection and copying, while exemptions can restrict juvenile, sealed, medical, investigative, or otherwise protected material.
Juvenile detention records are different. The Craighead County Juvenile Detention Center serves juveniles ages 10 through 17, and no public juvenile roster was found. Do not expect juvenile mugshots or custody details to appear on the adult RPS roster. Family, guardian, attorney, and court users should use the juvenile administrator or court channel.
Request Craighead County Booking Photos
If an adult booking photo is no longer visible or the roster does not answer the question, use the county FOI request page. The Sheriff's Office FOI Request tab is the best fit for jail, booking, detention, arrest, mugshot, and sheriff incident-report records. The visible form asks for name, email, phone, requested information, and delivery preference. Delivery choices include email, on-site inspection, CD, fax, pickup, and regular mail.
The Craighead County FOI page screenshot captured for the project shows the General FOI and Sheriff's Office FOI tabs used for booking-photo requests.

In the requested-information field, include the full name, approximate arrest date, arresting agency if known, and a clear request for the booking photo or booking record. No fee schedule or processing time was visible on the inspected form.
Craighead County Photo Access Limits
Some records are restricted even when a jail roster is public. Juvenile detention photos, medical or mental-health information, sealed records, and some investigative material may be unavailable. A booking photo also can disappear from the public roster when the person is released, transferred, or no longer within the roster's displayed tabs. The research did not find a published retention period for Recent Releases.
What is public: Adult roster photos and basic booking fields may be visible online, but sealed, juvenile, medical, investigative, and non-displayed record details require separate review.
Commercial mugshot sites are not official Craighead County sources and should not be used to decide whether a county record still exists or whether a case was dismissed. For official record access, use the sheriff's FOI process, Arkansas Case Search, and the court that handled any sealing order.
Craighead County Mugshot Removal
No official Craighead County policy was located for removing adult mugshots from the roster after dismissal, acquittal, or sealing. The researched route is the court process. Arkansas's record-sealing framework can restrict public access to eligible criminal records after a court order, but it is not a private website removal request and it does not erase the record for every law-enforcement or legal purpose.
If the case was dismissed or an eligible disposition was entered, check the court case, the Circuit Clerk or District Court clerk, and Arkansas sealing rules. If the roster or sheriff record still shows something after a sealing order, the records custodian may need a copy of the order. Do not pay a third-party publisher to remove a photo when the real issue is whether the official court or sheriff record has been sealed or corrected.
Federal and State Mugshots Differ
The BOP locator does not publish public mugshots. Federal sentenced custody is searched by name or number, not by browsing a photo roster. A federal pretrial detainee may be physically housed in Craighead County under a U.S. Marshals agreement and appear on the local jail roster while held there, but the federal sentenced search still moves to BOP. ICE ODLS is a separate immigration detainee locator and is not a county mugshot gallery.
Arkansas DOC profiles are separate from the Craighead County jail roster. A person sentenced to state custody may leave the county roster and later appear in the DOC locator, including county waiting-list or Act 309/work categories. State prison photos, if shown by DOC, are not county booking photos and should not be treated as the same record.
